Other family notes:
Helen Rengepis with her father George and mother Anne lived at 4625 Woodland Avenue in West Philadelphia, until moving to Upper Darby.  George is listed as being a restaurant owner.  George immigrated to the US in 1899.  George Pericles Rengepis was born in Kalamata, Greece on April 24, 1881.
 
Helen's mother Anne died some time in the 1930s of tuberculosis.  The children were James, born 1912, fraternal twins Angeles and Helen, born in 1915, Cleopatra (Claire born in 1916, and Frank born in 1920.  George Rengepis's brother, John is listed in 1930 Census as living near by at 4632 Woodland Ave with his wife Besse and daugher Jenney.  John Rengepis was also born in Kalamata Greece, and his birth date was December 21, 1887.
 
Both Helen and twin sister Anne were sent by their father to the Palm Business School at 52nd and Market Streets to learn business skills.  Helen worked in offices for several years, but Ann did not like this kind of work, and switched to war time factory work.   After working in offices, Uncle Jimmy Liacouras asked Helen to work at his grocery at 10th and Spruce Streets where she worked for 9 1/2 years.
 
Uncle Jimmy's store started as a meat store, and then he added other groceries and later deli items.  The students from Jefferson Medical University were high volume customers.  Jimmy and Stella's children were  Helen, Vilma, Aliki, and Peter Liacouras. 
 
Helen's Father Geoge had two brothers who stayed in Greece.  One was Costa (Gus was a university professor, and the other attended college in Athens.
 
Helen's brother Jim Rengepis was married to Rose Halkias.  Rose had one sister, named Christine who had one daughter Georgette Demas. 
 
Bill Lagakos worked for Uncle George Arfanis at Geroge's restaurant, "The Hunter" located on Madison Avenue in Manhatten
 
Uncle Jimmy:  James Liacouras born in Greece, September 14, 1890, died Gladwyne, PA March 1977.
 
Aunt Stella:  Stella Liacouras born October 2, 1902, died in Philadelphia January 9, 1989.
